Default Lenco's two and three speed automatics

Wow ! Just saw these automatic's by Lenco. Very nice peices of work. The 2 speed only weighs in at 108lbs while the 3 speed version comes in at 135lbs.

worthless.... if you are going to spend the money on a lenco get the clutch setup...

using a lenco for that is making the lenco transmission pointless.... the whole point behind the lenco/jeffco is to make it tunable to whatever track conditions you have whether it be tight or loose.... people that use those are the people who dont have much knowledge on "slider" setups...

or for people who run in classes that do not allow clutchless shift transmissions or have hefty weight penalty's for manuals.

there is a reason that they still make them.

Friend of mine just replaced his Jeffco with a Turbo 400 in his 55 Bel Air..tubbed 468ci ..more driver friendly for tooling around.

It's a great trans, and plenty of guys use them because if you ever get caught hot lapping, there's no between round time rush. Most guys I know that have them, had a clutch & switched for reliability & time issues.

The whole point of using a lenco has nothing to do withing tuning to the track. It's strength. The point of using a clutch is for tuning to the track.
