Default A4 shift points??

I was reading Rangers article in Corvette Fever magazine regarding racing with a 6 speed. (Very good article by the way) One thing he stated was his "targeted shift point" on a stock LS2 or LS6 was 6500..

I have always heard A4s should shift around 6000. I know my motor (402) makes good power above that. Would there be, (is there) an advantage and shifting at a higher rpm?

I am curious what guys like Edgar and others with A4s have their shift points set at??

Thanks in advance.

Im not advanced by any means, but if your still making power, and your valvetrain can back it up, I say shift when you need to to keep the motor in the power band. I think your talking stock engines, shifting around 6k in an auto sounds stock.
