If you're talking about mini tubbing you don't have to move anything.

If you're talking about backhalfing a car you'll move everything around.

I am putting full tubs in my car using the stock frame, basically a mini tub with tubs mounting all the way up to the hatch area.

What are you trying to do? There is also a post on mini tubbing a started you can look at or feel free to ask any questions I have photos and can give you some detailed answers with photos and drawings if you need them.

Here are a couple photos of mine it should be finished this week.

To answer your question, with the right tools, proper skill (welding/cutting) and patience to measure everything and check stuff I would say it is pretty simple.

Something you could do for the first time yourself.

it's alot of work for just not rubbing with wide tires. you can cut out the bump stop hump and have more than enough clearance without having to to through the trouble or expense of minitubing.

If you can fab everything yourself i can see it being 150-200
If you buy a full wolfe kit and install it yourself 350-500
If you can't fab worth a crap and pay a shop it's 1000-1300 depending on what part of the country

I just bought a pair of 40" tubs from summit racing, I ditched the mini tub idea the second I mocked up a 30" tire under it.

Can't lower the car much with the mini tubs, besides you can pull a lot of weight out of the car going with a full tub and cutting out some extra metal, I cut 112 pounds out of the car doing my tub job, and I doubt I will put more than 25 back in.

I have the trunk floor back in, tomorrow I am starting on measuring and fitting the tubs.

I am doing all of this in my garage at home, most of it done with just an angle grinder, a borrowed welder, tin snips and a drill.

Price wise including the tubs, metal and supplies I am still under $150.00 and have everything I need minus silicone to seal the tubs and spray paint to touch up the metal I put back in.

I also use regular masking tape to make lines on the body so I can remeasure and move the tape around to get the shapes or lines where I am going to cut before I mark out the lines permanent.

I bought aluminum tubs, I got the passenger side in today, I tell you by far fitting the tub and trimming it is the hardest thing to do, got one side done though and it looks awesome, the tub sits as high as the rear seat.

Sticking the mini tub outward an inch or 2 is pointless, the area that has the least amount of clearance is right next to the fender lip, the factory tub slopes down right there.
