Tim lynch went a 7.0X on 10.5Ws and is currently the fastest (in the 1/4)

There is controversy over Tim Lynch's car and I don't think he has the official record as a result. I know he ran a 7.16 but his car was 300lbs lighter than the rules allow. Still, it's a fast car. I don't believe he ran a 7.0x. I could be wrong, but I didn't hear about it and I'm sure I would. Turbo cars are great at half track and beyond. Who cares about the fastest 1/8 mile when that's only half way to the finish line.
