I found some replacement carpet rolls sold through Spectra. They come in 3'x6' rolls and are available in Tan, Dark Blue, gray and Black. The carpet is almost identical to factory pile in new cars but does not have the stiff backing. Comparing it to Ozite on a scale of 1 - 10 for flexibility, ozite is 10, spectra is 9. On wear Ozite is probably a 5 and spectra is a 8. Now I just need to find which glue to use to hold the carpet down with....

Went to the local shop that does upholstery and he has basically the same stuff in any length but it costs triple. Pep Boys has the 3 x 6' rolls for about 10 bucks.

I'll look when I get home latter this week. It's in a blue can I can remeber that. It holds well to the floor but you can still pull the carpet up without ripping it or leaving all kinds of fuzz ***** on the floor.
Thats the same stuff I have always been told to use. In any of the cars we do, we grab a gallon can of the contact cement and spray it through a cheap paint gun with a large tip to apply it to the back of the carpet. I've never had a problem doing it that way.

i agree with the 3m adhesive. i used the undercoating spray from them and sticks very well if you have clean metal. and looks good too. but i think im gonna use factory carpet just cut off all the sound dampning.
Im going with the stuff that auto zone and Advanced sells, Autozone is 8.99 for a 3X6 roll. looks good and weights nothing. As far as attaching it, Im usung a #m Velcro(The hook side) with adheasive on the back, That way if you need to pull it up or it gets trashed it will be easy to get out. You can get it at some car audio places. I use it to hold **** to the wall on my tool truck
