Default Sway bars, and Strut tower braces

Well while I was at the track last time someone came by and told me i should loose the strut tower brace and the front sway bar to pull some better times. I have heard of the front sway bar but would the strut tower brace help also?

Has anyone done this with some time improvements? How much in the 1/4 mile if any?

I mean if it really makes a big difference I will gladly try removing them for the next time out, but if its like .01 diff or something, eh. Thanks

It will help, but how much, who knows. Besides taking the sway bar off, I took the brackets off too. As far as the STB, our cars really don't need them and it's just added weight.

dropping the front sway can help a lot if you are getting the front end to, or close to, full droop at launch. by removing the little bit of bind that the sway bar end links create the front suspension can physically drop a little bit lower.
on top of that, the STB and sway bar both weigh something, so by taking weight off the front end you improve the front to rear ratio of weight and help the car to launch.

it only takes a few minutes to test, give it a try next time you go to the track and let us know how you make out.

Sounds good, thanks for the info. Prob the next time i go to the track I will be running a DR and maybe the new N20 kit i purchased. So i will have to try a back to back run with and with out to see the difference.
