New bests with a couple changes
I took the car back to stanton last night after some real disappointing runs two weeks ago. MTI stage 2 heads/b1 cam with all bolt ons car is basically what it is, PT4200 converter.
previous best was 12.1 at 111 on a 1.66 60 ft time.
I made the following changes. Bumped the timing up a few degrees with LS1 edit. 25 up to 30 to be exact. I put the B1 cam aside in favor of an XE-R lobe profile. 228/236 on a 112 are the new specs. I also installed a trans go shift kit.
Result?
11.70 at 116.2 on a 1.68 60 ft time. It was spinning on that run especially. The 11.5 ET streets are gonna get changed out for ET drags soon so the 60 fts will be 1.50 instead. Although the ET and MPH are not real impressive for the mods I have, it was definitely a big step in the right direction. The weather conditions between the two days were not exactly the same, but they were both poor racing conditions. It was a bit colder this time but still REALLY humid out.
Next, the MAC headers are gonna get tossed into the parts I don't use pile and Thunder Racing long tubes will take thier place. My 2.5 inch Y pipe will also be replaced with a mufflex 3 inch. I also never run a cutout at the track. I always run through the muffler on my SLP dual/dual catback. A cutout will be going in with the new header/y pipe setup.
