i dont think for it to be legal you can have a removable cross bar, but i could be wrong. when i did mine i asked the same question and the guy who did mine broke out the nhra rule book and it didnt say you couldnt, but it also didnt say you could like on the side bars.

Mike, a removeable crossbar isn't NHRA leagal. I know that Carlsbad doesn't care about that, I also believe they would be fine at Irwindale and Fontana. A good convertor alone will put you into the 11's

Not NHRA legal, but if they give you any problems with it just put some roll bar padding/foam around it. This way they cant see the bolts.

hey Tony,
my car has been at marks for a month now, getting stage II heads, bigger cam and hi-stall converter, should be seeing high 10's here soon

What about not getting a crossbar, on the Wolfe website it gives you the option of not getting the crossbar and doesnt say that its not NHRA legal.

Is it worth the money to get the swingout options by the doors?
and last question

what do you guys prefer for the rear bar, the "over seat to flat area" or thru the speakers.

thanks

get the removable sides for sure!

i prefer the behind the seat on the flat spot rather than thru the speaker holes.

I think a 5-point is still legal, but not a 4-point. Have to have that door bar on the drivers side there.

a 5 pt is legal, but my theory is that if I have to climb over a bar,so does the passenger. Plus the added strength and rigidity dont hurt.
