What is the record for STOCK shortblock?
What is the record for STOCK shortblock? I was wondering who has gone the quickest/fastest on oem stock shortblock, in other words just heads, cam and power adder, but stock pistons rods and crank, rings, rod bolts etc..??
Please list times with mods, raceweight, trans, size of shot or turbo/blower, rear end, tire size etc.

Re: What is the record for STOCK shortblock? heard of a CE t/a with a turbo or two? that went like 10.1@130 or so on the stock bottom end. i think they might be on this board but not sure.

Ran a 10.09@132 on a 150 shot (true stock bottom end...never touched)
I haven't seen anyone come close to this in an LT1 yet.

I just haven't had time to change it now that I don't care much to streetrace... After this weekend it should be changed and I will hold the record for Quickest stock bottom end LS1.
And I will do it on a 10 bolt rear end with the factory 3.23 gear, only suspension mods being a panhard rod, air bag, rear QA1's, and subframes, THE CAR WILL STILL HAVE A/C, P/S, and stereo. The best part about it is that I will drive it to work the following Monday 
BTW, the raceweight is 3349lbs.

Re: What is the record for STOCK shortblock? So far my stock bottom end has had no durability issues. I have made over 350 passes on it with the juice... and the last 60 have been under 10.50s...
We raced all of last year hoping it would blow up so we could justify replacing it with a stroker... but it's still going.......
