I cant seem to get into the twelves! i think i need to get some sticky tires because I ran that time in the title with a 2.555 60 ft....best mph for the night was 110 with a 13.2.....LTs,4.10's,Lid..full bolt ons(crappy ventus/hankook tires)

also I have no idea wether this matters at all but I have a valentine one radar that seems to go crazy whenever the cars at w.o.t and it starts to dim and turn off after beeping crazly..

Sticky tires.. learn how to launch and you are 12s.. 2.555 60' is like a walking pace launch.. lol!

Definitly some tires. Invest in some DRs and you should be there.

I don't know if you’re running a M6 or an A4 but try leaving the line around or a little above idle Your not going to see the best 60' times by going this route but they'll be better than 2.555, your just roasting your tires at this point. My friend is running pretty much everything you are plus a stall and he is seeing 2.1 60' on street tires with a busted rear (spinning one tire). He couldn't get traction worth a **** either and actually found out that leaving right off of idle worked on accident. Soon as he staged the lights went and he didn't have time to load it up and just gave it gas, that time has been one of his best so far. If your running 13.2 with a 2.555 just by getting that sucker down to a 2.400 will but you in the 12’s of course that is if everything else comes together on the rest of your run. So give it a try can't hurt.

What do you guys recommend for a good sticky tire..i have 275/40/17 in the rear...I heard micky thompson street ets are really good but dont last very long with normal street driving....

maybe a pair of crappy salad shooters with some street e.t.'s on them?...

mickey thompson et streets. i did the same exact thing as you, ran a 13.4 twice once at 107.6 and the second time at 108.7, with a 2.3 60 foot, i had a post asking people just the other day about this. i didnt launch but walked out of the gate, general consensus is to launch around 2500 and slip the clutch a bit with sticky tires. i have the bf goodrich drag radials, but they suck *****, get the mickey thompsons!

If you want to street drive you'll have to comprimise grip for wear. Nitto's NT555R's aren't going to dead hook (that's not a good thing anyway) but they'll get you into the 12's no doubt and I've seen guys get over 10K miles out of them. Plus if your running a stock rear you don't want something super sticky in the 1st place.

Get the et street radials, dont bother with nittos. Also, you dont need sticky tires to hit 12's, its all in the launch technique. Try launching just off idle as said and work your way up to around 2200-2500. Once you learn to feather the throttle you should be able to hit 2.0 60"s with no problem on street tires.

With a 9" in there you should just get some 15" rims and slicks(8" will work) for the track. 4500rpm, if ya got a 6psd, and dump the clutch to a 1.80 or better 60' times and well into the 12"s with that power.
