Hoosier QTP?
Looking at buying some Bogarts for the Mecham and looking at the 27/11.5 Hoosier QTP. What kind of 60' are you guys getting with them?
My car has been to the track once and made three passes ever on a set of four year old 26/10.5 ET streets. It ran a 10.93 @128 with a best of 1.66 60' full weight 3800+. I couldnt launch over 4500 without killing the tires and my 60'.
The car is an M6 car with a soft rear suspension, it has had the rear lips rolled flat and is lowered approx. 1.5". Should I be looking at a non radial tire for my et range?
Thanks for the help guys!

Best I ever did with that same tire was a 1.51, I think now with the suspension set up a good bit better 1.4x would be poossible.
Not a bad tire, but once you're into the mid to low 10's you will be overpowering the tire.
If you're looking for a track tire that you can run without hammering/cutting the 28x9 et drag will fit with no modding, those are actually about 27.3 tall. If you don't mind trimming the bumper cover a little, the 28x10.5S et drag would be the way to go, at your weight a stiff sidewall tire will most certainly help.

I ran high 1.4X - low 1.5X with the 26 QTP's routinely. 27s could put you in the low 1.4X easy if the suspension is setup. Maybe even 1.3X. I had a stock torque arm, prokit springs, Hal shocks, and stock sway bar.

I think I will give the QTP a try.
My car doesnt have the best drag set up. Im running the Mecham installed Hotchkis road racing style springs, Non adj. LG torque arm and adj. RCA's. I fabricated my own torque arm relocating bracket with an adjustable spherical rod end on the end of the arm. It did good on a 4500 launch anyway, we will see how it does at 5200+ on good tires.
Heres my home made torque arm re locating set up..
