It was really hot but...
I expected the car to run it's normal 10.0 - 10.1's which it normally does at this track and weather conditions. First pass of the trailer the car went a 9.893 @ 135.65! All I did since Bowling Green was went with a new converter from T.C.S. (thanks Derek!) and re-build the broken tranny. The weight is still at 3223 where is was at BG. The new converter is a little tighter down low so my 60's were in the 1.37's (usually 1.33's) but it really pulls hard up top. During the launches, the car did not pull the wheels at all. These passes where foot braking, no t-brake.
There were a whole string of break downs and delays but the second pass yielded a 9.893 (yes exact same ET) @ 135.96.
Before we could get to eliminations, someone hit a utility pole outside of the track and knocked the power out. One delay after another along with the oppressive heat and we decided to pack it in.
Funny thing is that I usually run 0.2 and 2 MPH faster at Cecil on any given day. I can't wait for fall weather.
Hey Wade, you guys build one hell of an engine!
they make killer converters...can't wait to try mine
the other one was bad@ss as it was .... Mikey better start indexing the plugs, I'll be out in a week or so.
