Adjust the coilovers, if you have adjustable ones or you'll have to go to a lighter spring rate. Mine is adjustable front and back.

i never really thought about the rake of my car effecting me at the track but i just went out and measured the fenders and it cant be good

tires front :165r15's
tires rear: 28x9x15 et drags (27.3" tall)
susp front: stock springs and qa1r's
susp rear: stock spring with hose instead of isolator and comp end shocks

rear height: 28.75"
front height: 24.75"

that cant be good can it.
how high do i need to bring the front up, what is ideal for weight transfer
maybe this will explain some of my shitty 60's

Holy crap, 4 inches? I would bring the front up 1 and drop the rear 1 if it's possible.

yea, bring the front up 1" and take out the rear spring isolators and put hose on the spring. that should help.
I checked mine and the fronts were about 26" and rear fender was 29.5-30" (with 28" tires). I raised up the front to about 27" and left the rear

I should note that the 27.5 is after removing probably 100 lbs from the center of the car foreward. I just checked my logs, and it was 26.75 last year in the front and 27.5 in the rear with the 275/60 radials. I didn't recheck the rear when I went to the 28x10.5S et drags, I know those tires are a little taller though.

I'm gonna have to turn he front end down about an inch, because I have another good 20 lbs coming out before I'm done with the nose this year.

I took my rear spring cups out today and my rear is now 29" off the ground. Checked my fronts and they were off.
Driver side is 26.25"
Passenger is 26.50"

Is that too much of a rake still? I have Strange coil overs with stock springs in the front. Should I just raise the driver side up a 1/4 of an inch so they can be level or bring them both up even higher?

I think you should raise the driver side up to put more weight on the right rear.

cool, well I guess I'll leave the front passenger side alone and just raise the drivers side up a tad bit tomorrow. I guess 2.5" of rake isn't too bad. I just wanted to make sure because I do care more about hooking than how good it looks.

The whole topic of this thread is how important is rake? Each person seams to get a different answer. My car sits like a 4x4 compared to some of the people in this thread. What I'm trying to say is there a range that we need to shoot for? Say, my car is 29 inches off the ground in the rear and 26 in the front versus someones who is 26 in the rear and 23 in the front. The difference is still three inches.

I should have been a little more informative when I posted that. I'm more concerned with how the weight removal is proportioned. I'm on stock shocks so this might be a little difficult.
