Default first time drag m6

i recently swaped a m6 into my car and first time at the track with a manual i only got 3 runs at the track, should have practiced before going though, i got a good idea now i think, when i first went my buddy told me to rev it up to about 4k with the line lock and let the clutch out til it drops about 300rpm and launch like that... it fell flat on its face... but atleast it didnt stall, i actually did the 3k slip launch and that worked well for me i just slept at the tree though, heres my times on my 2 better runs, what do yall think my car is capable of when i get better, 1/8 mile 8.584 88.6mph reaction is 1.293....i know 60 ft 2.098, spUN a bit out the hole... not much, second 8.529 84.558 reaction .873 60ft 1.990... this is the one where it bogged down.. thanks for any input

Sounds like you need a set of better tires and more rpm, are you on the stock rear end? If you have a after market rear end I would raise the launch point. On mine I leave around 6,000 rpm and side step the clutch.

hopefully you know the RT is irrelavant to your overall time. Your clock don't start until you cross the beams (unless your running heads up).
Practice you said is yours solution. The Spec4 should help you where I could use it. My clutch don't like running for long (2-3 seconds in neutral) before it starts floating at the pedal. So, you should try the 4K slip/dump like your friend says and work around that. Good luck!
