what rpm to launch at
what rpm to launch at I have a yank ss4000 stall and was wondering what rpm would be best to launch at. The car has a futral f10 cam, tune,qtp long tubes, suspension ,intake,strange 12 bolt, and micky tompson mt street drag radials. So far the best time has been a 12.08 at 112 mph lauching at 3500rpm, i am just wondering what i can do to get the car in the 11's.I am going to the track tomorrow and would like to make that elusive 11 second pass....Thanks

That is with the 4000 stall, the car is also at full weight with stereo system, amps, etc. Definally weight challanged, i just dont want to gut the car, it is a really nice daily driver but i might have to pull the extras out to get in the 11's it is all over the low 12's.
I have a stero/amp/sub as well.. I just take them out as they wont let you race with it in the car if they see it. Hell, they would not let me race cause I did not have a tie down on the battery.
From your mods, there is no reason why you cant pop a 1.5X 60' out with that 4K stall.
For me, I stall up as high as I can then let it rip when the light turns green... Thats how it works on my car and has netted me the low 1.5's on motor and 1.4's on the juice. And, I have a 4K stall as well.
Some others like to flash it from an idle, some ~1500..... Its one of those things that you might have to not pay attention to the light but more on yor RPM and see how it goes. Once you know what RPM to launch it from, just try and listne for that RPM on the next run and watch the light.
With times below, I was running a 255/50/16 MT DR... So, I know those hook.
