Spinning?

Spinning? Me and a friend are having a debate, If a car spins for 5ft leaving the line, Would his mph be higher than that of same car not spinning?Ive always heard if you spin it will trap a higher mph.

Spinning off the line will usually give you more MPH. As said, you get like a rolling start.
On my slow car the best ET's had the slowest MPH. 60' & MPH act together, higher=higher.
Sometimes when set on kill & the track was iffy, I'd gain 5-6 MPH, but lose .10 in 60'.
