Default Dual-Disk Clutch Friction Material Selection

I am considering a dual-disk clutch for drag racing. I do not have a heavy, high-horsepower car. I am seeking increased longevity rather than greater torque-handling capacity. I want a clutch that can survive many 5000 rpm clutch dump launches. I am not concerned at all about easy normal driving so I don't need organic friction material. Which of the other available friction materials (carbon-graphite, metallic...) would be best for my application?

The more agressive material the more chatter and less streetability. You'll soon find out that the clutch will turn into a light switch (on-off). For a dual disk and street friendly you can go with kevlar material. They do have a semi-metallic and carbon type disk but they are getting into the "on/off" type engagement. Then there is sintered iron. Not for the faint hearted. lol. Hope this helps. -Mark
