Need some advice on rear set up... I'm going to have the Strange 12 bolt in my car narrowed about 1.25" per side (so I can keep my axles). This would be the ideal time to make any other changes. Right now I have a posi, and with a 3500-3600 lb raceweight and 740 RWHP its days are numbered. I also have 3.73 gears, so I think a step down to 3.42's would be wise since I shift at 6500. Don't wanna run out of gear in the 1/4.
What gear should I use? The car is street driven mostly, but I do race a little. Right now I have a built 4L60E, we'll see how long it lasts.
I hate to have a spool in a street car, but its not driven daily and I really don't know what else to do. I don't mind going through tires, I just don't like the idea of tires squeeling around corners. Attracts bad attention.
