Gear change, 60'?

Gear change, 60'? So here's the deal. Installed a 9in with 3.70s. Picked up between .4 and .5 with the change from 2.73s to 3.70s. I figure thats pretty good. Got me into the 12s barely. My question is, are my 1.95 or so 60 foots on motor pretty normally for my setup? Without gears it was running 2.0s with drag radials or street tires, just more consistent w/ drs.
Full UMI Tubular Poly rear suspension
255/50-16 MT ET Streets w/ psi from 22-27 any lower and wheel hops
Relocation brackets, lowest hole, middle hole wheel hops
Stock Converter
3750 or so raceweight
at 27psi the drag radials chirp off the line but don't really spin. Could I use more psi? Is there any being left on the table without changing the converter or weight? Thanks guys and girls for any insite. BTW, pic in sig is last season w/ nitrous and no gears.
