Where to put the ice?

Where to put the ice? On a different post i read that if you ice down your engine it's good for a tenth or two. But where exactly do you put the ice bags?

Re: Where to put the ice? When I used it, I put mine on the throttle body and remainder on top of the air lid. The intake is impervious to heat. Cheers......

Re: Where to put the ice? If it drips at the track they wont be to happy with you. I konw up here they get pretty pissed and stress not doing that over and over again.

I have found that there is no difference in my ET as long as I don't let the car sit and idle.
I've made 4 passes in a row within 12-15 minutes with no slowing due to heat. As a matter of fact if there is a slow run it's always the first one. Plastic manifolds &TB coolant bypass rocks.
