Too much "play" in my RT TA?

Too much "play" in my RT TA? I pulled the rear end out today and inspected my torque arm while it was out. Last year I noticed I had some up and down play in the TA assembly. Basically what I'm seeing is that the TA can move up and down on its bracket, like the holes are too big. Is it supposed to be this way or are the holes enlarged from wear?
With the rear end mounted I can move the front of the torque arm (where it mounts at the tranny) up and down about 1-1.5".

The holes in the bracket appear to be egged out a little. One bolt was not tight when I removed it, I figure it must have been moving and wearing the hole out.
I'm going to weld some new material there and re-drill it. I was gonna buy a new T/A but its really not gonna do much for me and the CM ones are kind of expensive for a few lbs difference.
