Default drag brakes

im just trying to clear up my confusion

drag brakes for a 1st gen are lighter than 4th gen? (doesnt make sense)

the lightest possible front brake setup is PA chromoly spindles and drag brakes which you have to use 1st gen brakes with the pa stuff?

does anyone other than pa make light weight spindles? what year brakes do they use?

and i cant find 1st gen drag brakes anywhere whats the price on them?

also is anything needed to install front drag brakes on a 4th gen? lines fitting ect?

finally why does nobody talk about wilwood drag brakes? dont they make some similar to strange and aero?

.

Wilwood has bolt on kits for '67-'92 in the drag model. They also have other models, check again for 1st gen stuff. Good luck.

All of the info you are asking is in the drag brake thread, and I also answered all of your questions in the PM. I don't see where you could still be confused.

I have some rear wilwoods for sale, not sure if you were only doing the front or not.

The lightest is gonna be spindle struts from santhuff or strange. The next best option or THE lightest option if you want to maintain "stock style suspension" is P/A spindle mount spindles that utilize a single piston strange caliper. That's what I have. I can't say if it's enough brake, but I'm giving it a shot. It's definately stupid light.

To be legal both in IHRA/NHRA you need a chute at 135.

Single piston is for VERY light stuff, not street cars that drag race.
