Default T-Tops

I wanna race my car w/o the T-Tops on(mainly to save weight) will this slow my car in any way or throw off the aerodynamics of my car? Just don't want slowed down on the 1/4. Its an 87 Z28

Im thinking the track will not let you do that.

track won't let you, not to mention it would probably be slower due to wind resistance.

I've driven 145 with my t-tops off I think it will go faster with them on. I don't think there is a rule you can't run without them, but I would guess you'd have to have the same safety equipment as the topless cars/roadsters.

My friend had a Ferrari roadster like a 60's something and he has arm restraints and a funny car cage. Needless to say it had no roof at all, so I don't see why you couldn't go down the track without them, but still it will most likely go slower.

I'm racing on the street..so there are no "track rules" obviously, i was just more interested in finding any specs/info on runnin w/o the top. i though the wind coming into the car and into the back glass could potentially slow it down so i didn't wanna run w/o them. Thanx for the replies tho
