9" tq arm bracket failure Have any of you guys ever had this happen? This is going to hurt the $$$

Yea I was the first one around with a 9" in a 4th gen (98-up)back when I bought it 98
I can't really complain though, it only had about 2500 passes on it when I last counted about 2 yrs ago. We have the newer cast brackets in our other two cars. I'll call them and see if they'll do anything for me. Someone said they had the same problem and Moser wouldn't even sell them another bracket! I hope thats not the case, we've spent a lot of $$$ with Moser

It actually broke at the 2nd gear hit. It just all happened so fast it didn't register that something was wrong until it was too late

that bracket didnt look like it was welded properly, very little penatration on the welds that i see. I have a bracket that was made when flex was noted in the bracket that was on there.

I think they sold me another one, but I had to send the other one in first...they won't just sell the bracket outright
I found out my old bracket was 6-7 degrees off causing really bad pinion angle issues

I had to go back to the dealer I bought the housing from and have them get me a new cast piece. Moser wouldn't deal with me. This was at least 5 years ago though.

It wasn't welded very good at all. Very little penetration at the point where it broke. If I have to buy one thats fine but I've heard they wouldn't sell just the bracket. Bad thing is I need it before the weekend and I won't even be able to talk to them until Tuesday. I've always had a problem getting the tq arm bolts through that bracket, it's holes are off location by about an 1/8th inch
