Trans am VS SS question Ok i want to know some opinions here. I have a 99 T/A with 3.73's, free mods, lid,dr's and 175 lbs removed. It ran 8.32 at 86mph before juice. Now i have a 100shot on it. The SS has stock exhaust,stock radials,a mild cam, a 2800 stall a lid. Will this be a fairly close race?
You are M6 I assume, it should be a close race off the bottle with the SS but it would most likely pull ahead by a hair. Does the SS have a LS6 intake(2001-2002)??? With slicks and that stall, the SS could hit 7.8-7.9 posssibly. With the 100 shot on the TA would put it mid 7's if you pop the bottle from the line.

No he doesnt have the ls6 intake. His car is a 98. Mine is an m6 but i kinda tend to bog even with a 3500 launch sliping the clutch so i dont want to hit the juice off the line and nitrous backfire. The thing i think may hurt him the most is stock manifolds with the cam.
Stock manifolds including the LS1 manifold will kill his power production up high. You should win I would think. As long as you can hit a 1.9-2.0 60' so he doesn't get a jump on you. Plus you have tires, that is what is going to make you win at even the best of tracks.
