Need traction asap....
Need traction asap.... A few months ago I raced this Cobra Mustang, I beat him pretty bad but I had issues getting off the line because my tires are worthless. I managed to pull around him tho and put probably 4-5 cars on him in the 1/4. Well today he wants a rematch and I'm pretty sure its because he's got the bottle hooked up. Since I last raced him I installed my 3600 Vig and realized I was running only 17* of timing so I fixed that and now run normal amounts. Anyway, I think I can still out power him but I'm not sure about traction now. Is there something I can do short or buying / borrowing other tires to get this thing to hook up better? Sandbag? Unbolt sway bar?

turns out I didn't need traction asap, i just needed it eventually. Lined up with this guy, a modded 99 Cobra. I left ASR on figuring it might actually help because my tires are worthless. Anyway 3 honks and he takes off I start to spin and then the car upshifts to 2nd. I'm looking at this guy getting a couple cars out on me and thinking this is not good. Next thing I know my car is downshifting back into first (yeah I'm going nowhere, well until it grabs in first again). I get traction with him about 3-4 cars out infront of me. It took a while to reel him in but I did finally pass him by the time we reached our spectators (right around 1/4 mile). We went again from a 25 roll and I was out on him instantly and kept pulling but had to shut down soon. He was cool about it and its a cool car but always so much fun to win a race especially when I was so far behind at first.
BTW, I guess whoever moved my thread from drag racing results to drag racing tech was a little too soon on the trigger, lol.
