Default Anyone use a fuel cooler?

Did a search, couldn't find much. Has anyone tried using a fuel cooler for a street driven high HP car with a big pump? Any results?

I've seen alot of carbed guys do it but I have never seen it done on fuel injection. That is if your talking about the cool can(ice in a can with fuel line running thru it) I would be interested in the results myself.

If you heated fuel to combustion temps, I would think it would evaporate, or boil.

Certain fuels don't want to be hot, get the fuel cool and adjust timing accordingly.

What do you think it does when it hits a hot intake port or valve?

Lets see, numbers of reasons to NOT heat the fuel:

1. Your fuel pump actually pumps less fuel when its hot, fluid is less dence.
2. Heated fuel is more likely to cavitate in the pump causing erotion of the pump gears
3. Vapor lock, pump may cavitate to the point of not pumping at all
4. Hotter fuel is more likely to preignite, Ping

Heat the fuel WTF??

I'd be interested in seeing the effects of cooling the fuel on an injected car as well.

people dont know that some of the prostock teams used to do this before it was outlawed... of course its not for the street car... race car only that runs 1/4 mile then shuts off... and ofcourse its certain fuels to a certain temp not a boiling temp... but pretty hot
