Crank Trigger Input Needed Please

I have a quick question concerning installing a crank trigger. I have a MSD trigger (aka flying magnets), and it mounts to the front of my ATI balancer. My question is I have a 2 groove crank pulley I need to mount on the front as well for the alternator. Has anyone had any problems or think there will be a problem with interferance of the crank trigger signal?

No, that's the reason they use the magnets so you don't get false signals, even if something crosses the path of the pickup it is looking to read a signal from a magnet, which normal metal won't produce.

Thanks, that's what I was figuring and what I have read in various literature, but I mounted everything up and it was surprised at how close everything was and wasn't too sure anymore. I guess just as long as there is no mechanical interferance I should be ok.

I have ZERO issues with my crank trigger. Gap and index it and forget about it.

Don't know what the paper work says, but we all gap it at 50 & haven't had any issues.
Not too close, not too far. Just a thought, I've seen guys go way too tight.
