fender lip issues

fender lip issues

My 315/60/15 tires are right on the fender lip! I'm trying to dertermine if I should try to cut the lip, grind or roll it. The paint is really good on the car and I really don't want to have to paint the qtrs. But if there is no good option, thats what i'll do.

Advice??

Roll it. A friend had the eastwood roller and I used it to roll mine and did not hurt the paint at all. If you cut the lip you will have to tack weld the panels back together at that seam.

I don't have any pictures of the rolled lip if that's what your looking for. It's straight forward when you get ready to do yours though. Maybe you can find someone renting the tool to make it easier. I know a few guys on different sites rented them out.

I'm going to roll my fenders.

My car is lowered about 2" and the 315s were fine for a couple months until I hit a dip in a road..the fender decided to slice up one of my tires.

We cut mine then used urethane sealer to seal it up.

I have an Eastwood fender roller for sale. Bought it off a member here who used it once to do his car...I never used it on mine

I rented a roller, take your time that's for sure, my one buddy got a lil' impatient and one quarter looks a lil' wavy now.

yea, I will have the 5/8 studs, I was going to call today and order the axles and studs, but I was pretty busy changing an engine at work to day. I'll try to call you guys tomarrow or wed.
