just ran the 1/8 for the first time, need imput! ok well i ran the first 1/8 mile run ever in my friends car. he has some crappy tires compaired to mine and a lot better clutch. he ran a best of 8.52 at about 83 or 4 mph and i ran 8.9 at 83.3 mph. my 60 foot sucked at about 2.25 i spun bad...but it was decent seeing im not used to the car i guess. what i wanna know is does that trap speed look decent and like the only time i lost was cause i spun off the line? and also, what should this car be running. it has a better clutch than stock. 3"exhaust with no cats goin into a flowmaster. air lid. maf ends. free intake cut out under filter. its a 98 trans am. also has hypertech tuning, k&n filter, tb bypass and well other free mods. what do you all think the times should be and what can be done to get some better times besides get some better tires?

Re: just ran the 1/8 for the first time, need imput! I run 8.5Xs in the 1/8 @84 with a 2.03 60' but with an A4 and bald F1s. I think it really needs some sticky tires to help with your 60' times. They would also help you with a higher rpm launch at the line.

Re: just ran the 1/8 for the first time, need imput! im just ready to take mine up there. i have a 00 with some nittos taht hook very well and some more mods...im just wanting to do more cause i wanna blow everyone away and run a high 7 or something lol
Re: just ran the 1/8 for the first time, need imput! I highly suggest you get some drag radials, and practice, practice, practice. Your 60ft time is whats killing your run.
