Has anyone got rid of this stuff down under the dash by your feet? I saw it when I was messing with the car the other day. Anyone know how much it weighs?

 

Are you talking about the plastic stuff that covers the firewall and tranny tunnel? Yes I got rid of mine. If I remember correctly is weighs about 11 lbs. You need to cut it away from around the gas pedal and brake pedal. I don't have a cluch pedal

Hmmm that sounds like some easy weight removal there.

 

I didn't feel any adverse affects but my car is primarily a drag car and I drive it very very very little on the street. I can't hear any sound differance because I run open headers. My toes don't get hot either.
