Default rear springs

some may think that this "belongs" in the suspension section but thought i may get better answers here. i am currently running a bmr lowering spring in the rear and was wondering if i could help my launch/ weight transfer by putting the softer stock rear springs back on the car. thanks for the help.

To our knowledge our rear springs do not hurt your 60' times.

i was under the impression that they were a stiffer spring than the stock ones. correct me if i am wrong. wouldn't a softer spring in the rear make the weight transfer better?

I would suggest a good racing shock, if you don't already have some.

You don't want a softer spring rate in the rear. Although it may look like the car is transferring more weight but what its really doing is unloading on the tires. If anything, I'd soften the front up to get the nose to lift more. Have any videos of your car launching?

You don't want the rear to squat more than 1/2". It is better to have it a little stiffer than softer.

that is his slogan, i guess kind of a inside joke by people who frequent this section more.

but my best advice as it is just rear sprinngs would head to the track make some passes with one set change them out right there at the track and see what changes.... thats what I would do. not hard to change springs

ggood luck

wether you need lowering springs or stock springs will depend on the power, gear ratios, type and size of tire, launch rpm, transmission type, etc, etc. what works for one guy won't necessarily work for another. generally, a shorter, stiffer spring would be for a higher powered, hard launching car. it's mostly about the car's center of gravity. higher powered, faster cars generally need a lower c.o.g., a mildly modified(say 9-11 sec) cars will use a higher c.o.g. for drag racing, most people here will find the stock springs will work just fine. as stated above... you will more than likely find better results with a good set of shocks on the car. weight transfer is directly controlled by shock valving(as well as a few other things).
