help me with wheel hop!!!!!
i have replaced every thing except the panard bar.
i have a edelbrock aj ta set at - 1/2 degree pinion angle=lakewood lca's=hypercoil springs and bilstien hd shocks= bmr lca brackets= 17x9.5 zr1's with 275 nitto drags.
im geting some wheel hop and its killing my 60ft i run about 20 psi in the nittos at the track and i do a good burn out to warm em up.
my lca's are on the lowest hole on the drop brackets.
do i need a little more pinion angle? from what i see on here - 1 1/2 to 2 is what i have been seeing on here.the wheels hop aint that bad i seems to feel like it will hop a few times then hook.
help me out guys and thanks.
Shaun, my advice for you is, get some good adj. shocks, i have wheel hop too & been kicking myself over it, i'm sure my issue is shock related, those HD ones your useing aren't really intended for drag raceing, also, that eddy TA is on the flimsy side (i had one), but replaced it with a BMR.
you have an adjustable TQ arm,i would use -2 up to -3 degrees see if that stops the hop..
by chance is your car lowered at all,if so your axle could be shifted off center and that could also be
giving you a hard time.then you would really need an adj. panhard to center the rear....
