narrowed 9 inch?

narrowed 9 inch? Is there any performance benefit to having a rear narrowed? I currently have a stock length Moser 9" and run with 15 x 10 bogart and M/T 325 DR's. Everything fits fine so other than to get a deeper wheel for aesthetics is there any reason to narrow the rear? I was thinking of doing it and mini tubbing the car but will spend the money elsewhere if it isn't really needed. Just thought I might be missing something so I thought I would ask.

A little less weight and better choice of wheels other than I cant think of any. I needed to upgrade the axles/unit in my Moser 9" so i just ordered a new one narrowed 2.25" per side to fit a deeper wheel. I just like the deeper wheel look!

I agree, I like the deeper look alot better too but if theres no benefit other than that I will wait till I need to replace something and just order a shortened rear. Love the look though!
