If your looking for something to keep your quarters clean. I have this plastic that sticks to the rear quarters. It is clear. Just cut a piece put on where rubber collects then peel off after track. It has no glue or anything. Won't hurt paint. It is the same stuff that cars get wrapped in for transport. My dad found it in one of his towing supply mags. Works great no mess. I believe the magazine is AW direct.

I use body tape, which wont hurt the paint...but Dlove just wanted me point out that it "looks gay"

Thats funny. I like to keep my nice street/strip car nice all the time. Hell I usually clean it before I go to the track and when I get back from the track. I hate seeing cars that still have rubber on them from the previous times to track.

I clean around the rubber on my car when I wash it. Only clean the rubber off a couple times a year.

update :
we tried pepsi on the local spot , seemed to work ok. i might try it again since i was using a spray bottle and i didn't lay down enough pop on the road. i'm thinking a good layer of soda will do wonders once it gets tacky

i'm sure the ants out there loved us!

When we're out, we usually lay a puddle infront of both tires, pull into it, do a good burnout, and roll the car out as straight as possible, then back it up in its tracks.

In a pinch we have used Mt Dew and Cherry Coke. Both work well. I usually have a gallon of VHT with me though.

You can get it through summit and most local shops like listed above. We always have a couple gallons in stock at our Speed Shop.

its cheaper just to use corn syrup... thats the main ingrediant in all these products.. yes that is why coke or DR pepper works....

cut the corn syrup with methonal and spray it down....burn out through it and drag it down the rest of track... dont just burn out in that spot...
