gears,tires,mph?please help
gears,tires,mph?please help ok guys been thinking about this too long over 3 weeks.
times in sig were made on 275-40-17mt drag radials.
of course I want to change the 2.73 gears in the z,I have a 99ss with a 9" equipped with 4.10.I could swap the rearends for 400$.If I do this,spraying the car with a 150 shot should put at about 125-128mph.I will be bangin the rev limiter if I do right?4.10,125-128mph,275/40/17.stock internal so 6500rpm rev limiter.to cure this lower gear or add tire height,i would rather add a 28"tire.what will fit a snowflake that is 28".Y a snowflake u ask,to keep it stock looking and still run low 11's maybe 10's.look at the pic in my sig,the car is loud and screams look at me with slicks n skinnies at the track.thats not what I want with the z.
option 2.I could stick with the 10 bolt add 3.73 gears and be fine with the 275/40/17.but then again its a 10 bolt
I dont want to add a stall unless I have to.with 4.10 or 3.73 the n2o should kick in before the 60'right,it activates at 3200 thus lowering the 60x correct?
am i thinking to hard about this,please just point me in the right direction,basically what would u do.
Keep in mind I am NOT gonna put on drag wheels has to be made on 17"zr1 or better yet 16" snowflakes
