Can dyno #'s be altered, How do i know if the the #'s are legit?

What are the different types of dyno machines? Which one is the best?

Does someone mind expaining this info to my, thanks nathan

1) yes they can be altered.
2) you don't know how accurate the numbers are.. all dynos read different anyway
3) there's a dynojet, mustang, and dyno dynamics
4) dynojets tend to read high, the mustang and dynamics tend to be more accurate because they are loading dynos.
5) dynos are for tuning, you don't race on a dyno, don't get hung up on numbers.
6) dynos sell parts, there is every reason to "adjust" a dyno for a few HP more.. see my sig.
