Cam only with ported FAST 92
I ported this intake based on it being bolted on a set of higher flowing aftermarket heads later. The opening of the intake is now larger than the heads a slight bit but more importantly, a ported FAST (or even a stock FAST) has to be on a really honking set of heads to be especially effective. The bottom line is a stock intake can somewhat keep up with a factory set of heads but cant keep up with an AFR/TFS/ETP, etc. and thats when you see big gains with the manifold swap. (The key is the intake has to represent a large restriction to see big gains when swapping to a higher flowing ported FAST....with stock LS1 heads (230 CFM or so), the heads themselves are more restrictive than the intake, or certainly close, so swapping something in front of them that flows more is of mininal benefit).
The OP knew all this going in and in fact I told him not to look for any more than 8-10 HP. It would have made a few more had I not opened up the exits at all but that would have hurt his numbers later when he finally bolts a deeper breathing new set of lungs on his engine so obviously that wouldnt have been a good move long term and I ported it now assuming a larger port entrance down the road a ways.
I was pleased that there was no loss on the bottom....a stock FAST on this combo most certainly would have given up some down low as you have seen in other comparisons.

i'm doing a similar before/after comparison in feb.
i've got it lined up to have the tune touched up with the current ls6 intake, dyno it, then swap the ported FAST 90/90 and retune...and re-dyno.
this will be on a stock heads, cam only setup.
not expecting huge gains, but these mods are in preparation for heads down the road.
and considering the deal i got on the FAST 90/90 the cost isn't too bad either. particularly when i sell the ls6 and ported tb for $400 or so.
thanks for these numbers, and keep an eye out for my comparison.

Do you have track times and MPH to compare the old and the new? That is what I would be interested in seeing.
