the intake n exhaust are kill ya man
also like stated check the duty cycle, you probly need to step them up but check 1st anyways.
also make sure the TQ was locked!

theres a big difference if its not
mine put down 370ish rwhp unlocked and 415 locked through a 3200 stall ( its more like a 3800 actually )

Yeah I'm grabbing the intake and injectors this week hopefully. It was a dyno day with like 20 cars running through, so I think it was just kind of a "dyno as-is" kind of deal, no Hp tuners or anything. I think he intended to pull in 3rd (it started in 3rd), but when he went wot, it downshifted to 2nd, which thereby started the pull alot higher (4900). Mike Norris is a pretty reputable LSX builder and tuner in this area, I may actually go back to him to get the full dyno tune done once I get these little things taken care of.

I am fairly certain that the converter was unlocked, so that sounds like it played a role. I know what I am going to upgrade on the intake side, but which part of the exhaust specifically are you referring to? I just bought a cutout last week to put in, but haven't had the time to have it installed yet. I'm with you on the converter issue, mine is supposed to be a 9.5" 3000 stall (from when I was a bolt on car), but it seems to be stalling a bit higher now!

00vert-z,

Good talking to you the other day and we will get her straightened out and at her best for sure. I think a set of 2001-2002 injectors will do for you for now like we talked about as well as the LS6 intake and from there we can see what you have.

The runs were done unlocked because it was a dyno day and we had 17-18 cars to do. If it was a single car base line it would have been locked.

Talk to you soon.

Thanks again for taking the time the other day on the phone. I figured that was the reason for the unlocked converter, I know it was pretty hectic there that day! (I own my own business myself so I know how it can get trying to watch everything at once!) I'll be talking to you pretty soon to get the tune straightened out once I get a few parts upgraded. Thanks for the response in here as well, Chris

UPDATE... Picked up an ls6 intake yesterday, 25% UD pulley and new injectors will be in this week, and cutout is going in tomorrow. New numbers soon, this time with the converter locked!

LS1 intake+26lbs injector+A4= your results.

LS6 is going to free up a bunch of HP!! 98' Injectors or bigger is going to give you better chance with the lean mixture.

Default Updated Dyno Numbers!!

Just got the new dyno numbers from the wife after a full dyno-tune by Mike Norris. After the ls6 intake, 28.8 slight injector upgrade, and 25% UD pulley and of course the full tune, it put down 421.9 hp and 391 lb. ft of Tq!! Almost 51 hp and 48 lbs. of tq from pretty minor mods! That was with the exhaust cutout closed. Big thanks to Mike Norris for taking the time to go through it thoroughly. After that embarassment at the dyno day, I was very pleased with the results for what I have in it.

Yeah, Mike was great to work with. Unfortunately I was out of town in training for work, so my wife actually had to make an almost 2 hour trip for me to get the car tuned. Mike was great, treated her very well, she was completely comfortable there. Without going into detail, he even made some pretty big extra concessions to make it easier for her (and therefore me, I really owe her one on this one!). Yeah I was pretty happy with the numbers considering the a4 and 12 bolt myself!

Already got the intake since the first post. Worth ~51 hp when combined w/ bigger injectors, UD pulley and a new tune.
