to a point, yes.
the SBC has had 56 years to be perfected and it shows. i think the biggest issue with the LS series has been the oiling system. each platform has their huge advantages and disadvantages. with the addition o a platform that now mixes the 2... we will se some really wicked combinations. an SBC 406 bottom with an LS7 top end is now a possibility.

Brian, Andy did some custom twin cut-outs on the car right at the collector. Drivetrain is fairly simple, centerforce with a Moser 12 bolt. I called Andy and he's going to post the results, it's a Dynojet. Heads, well what do you say, I would not run the L92's again, they need to much work for what I wanted. Best CC to Flow from what I have seen without reworking them are the Trick Flows. The Trick Flows have a very nice port design that if you look down the intake port you can basicly see a straight line to the valve, this is a good thing. Turbulence is HUGE in heads and remember if you speed up air the straighter the line to the valve less chance of turbulence. I built a car for a guy with these heads and the power is awesome. A stock L9-2 head has too lazy of a port design unless you have HUGE cubic inches or a blower. We did make 648 engine dyno Hp. with 98 LS heads with lots of work done to them.
