i got mine tuned at CMS, and it made a shade over 400. with PRC heads though. it was also through cats. i dont agree on the TQ thing either, as the TR230 has great tq. mine did 375@3000. great numbers man!

Pretty damn good results for a cam/bolt on car.

I have the same cam and similar bolt ons, XS headers, LS6 intake, U/D pulley, FTRA.

I am looking at a set of budget heads, either the 5.3 2.5's or the LS6 heads from TSP.

I can't wait to get this cam in.

I got my Vette re-tuned at Lethal (summer '08) and they were SAE numbers smoothed at 5. I hit 407RWHP and 376RWTQ on a 224cam with home ported 5.3L heads. So I dont know where your comment came from.

Nice numbers brotha. I had a hard time trying to decide between the TR230 and the MTI X1. I'm adding a ported 90/90 and 85mm MAF in a week or two and hope to get close to 400 with a A4.

Great power through a fairly restrictive exhaust. The TR230 likes to breathe, hence the reverse split which relies on a good flowing exhaust system.

With a better Y-pipe, merge, cutout & retune I bet your car would see another 15-18rwhp.

Thumbs up Tr230/224 111

i got a respectable 405hp 415tq with my TR230 self tuned w/ HP tuners.
the tune didnt yield higher peak numbers but brought the TQ in higher and earlier.
it was on a dynocom dyno.
i avg... 313hp and avg... 385tq
sampled from 2500rpm to 6000rpm no more injector
note: i ran out of injector at 5200rpm

Great numbers! That cam is still one of my favorites. FWIW, the TR230 generally gives up nothing to the TR224. That difference is just in the way the dyno is operated (where he hit the gas.)

I think he's just saying that he's seen other results from Lethal and they're STD and not SAE. SAE puts it on all a level playing field so to speak. I wouldn't dyno in 30 degree weather and post up STD results since that's way off of what it would do in 80 degree weather.

Damn dude, those numbers are pretty sick.
You will have a nice trap for sure.
I'm goint to say 117-118ish with a really good DA.
Of course depends on other things.

Once again, great numbers for the mods dude.

I have a bolt on 6 speed car with the same cam. 384 on a mustang dyno.this is through a strange 12 bolt and 4.10 gear. HEAVY PST DRIVESHAFT.On a 90degree day with 40-50% humidity it trapped 116mph. This cam pulls very hard up top.i would love to see what it would do with a good set of heads, until then my stock 853's will have to do.

Actually, those are corrected numbers. If you look in the upper corner, it says STD. Those numbers are corrected to standard temp and pressure. You will see a slight difference between those and SAE correction factors. Sometimes STD numbers will be a little higher, sometimes a little lower. This is a far cry from UNCORRECTED which can be off by a huge amount either way depending on the weather. Some shops insist on using STD correction factors. We use SAE but a shop down the road uses STD.

if your numbers were 406/379, why does the torque peak higher on the dynograph than the hp? I must be missing something here, but it looks more like 406hp/420ish tq??
