Default vrx5,bolt ons,mail order tune

My car dynod 391rwhp and 378tq saturday.Vrx5 cam(236/238 .601/.605 113lsa)pacesetter longtubes,ls6 intake,FTP 85mm lid,SLP 85mm MAF,ypipe,dumped 4" spintech muffler.FROST mailorder tune.Im thinking it should pick up a good bit with a good dyno tune.Going from bolt ons to the cam it only picked up 10tq and 35hp.I would like to see 410hp and 385-390 tq.Am i asking too much?

Well let me put it this way....

I have a 2002
M6
12 Bolt
3" steel DS
SLP lid
Dynatech headers w/ their CATS and to a Corsa CAT back
VRx4 cam 228/230 @ 112
Stock heads
Ported FAST 90/90 by vengance.

Made 384 RWHP @ 6,200 and 363 RWTQ @ 4,700 BUT started flat @ 3,900

I think that is kinda low for me and thats a smaller cam but does have a dyno tune from one of the best shops in the NE that used to hold the LSX Nitrous Record.... so they know their shiz.

Your cam I think needs a compression bump, mines a little smaller but it would not hurt either. I have searched the dyno section for vrx4 dynos and have seen 405-410.... so it can happen.

I am going to be putting a 100 shot on it at the end of the month so i will get a real dyno tune when i do that.I would like it to break 400 on motor.Seems like this cam should probly like the bottle too.

Not to shabby for just having a mail order tune

Take it in and have it dyno-tuned and should be over 400rwhp. Maybe even add a pulley to reach your 410 mark you want.

Nonetheless, good numbers for just the cam. Do you have stock gears?

of course i would.but my motor also has 115k miles on it.im just going to spray it.Why spend $1500+ on a set of heads only to risk having one or both of them destroyed when the motor lets go?im not made of money
