Locked gives more rwhp but it matters on a lot of things like how loose the converter is, a stock converter should be less than 5hp usually but a 4000 stall and higher could be over 40rwhp on heads/cam cars.

I've seen an average of about 20-25 rwhp higher when locked. Mine dyno'd at 391 unlocked, didn't run it locked.
Auto's with stalls are not for someone looking for a dyno queen or bragging rights. On the flip side, it's not uncommon for an auto to clean a manuals clock with more HP at the track!
