Default Bolt-on car with stock results

Ok. Just gonna lay it all out. Car is a 98 A4 with an LS6 block. LS6 intake, P/P TB, Lid, LT's into a dumped exhaust, Freemods, and a mail order tune. Put it on the dyno Saturday and it only put down 290hp/322tq. Car has also ran a best of 13.83 at 101.xxx.

Am I just crazy or do these just seem a little low? I realize that not all cars act the same, but Ive seen significantly better results from other cars with similar mods.

Where are you located? I hope you say Denver CO...

Could be the weather, DA?

Numbers are kinda low for the mods.

Find out what your DA was on your runs.

You ET matches your MPH as well as your 60 ft.

In that DA it sounds like the car isn't running completely right.. I would do the standard tune-up.. follow the sticky in the maintenance section on how to seafoam the car, then change the fuel filter, oil, plugs and wires and then hit the dyno/track again!

I wouldn't be surprised by some better numbers!

Maybe your mail order tune is off? My 98 A4 made 285 rwhp stock.
Something seems off. I would check the basics first.

The car has an LS6? Or just LS6 block? HP seems a little low for a car with those mods and ET is about what my car ran stock in 90+ Vegas heat which is 2500' elevation and DA there is terrible. I would definitely look at some maintenance.

That DA isn't wonderful or terrible, it is about average. Those times are not average however, they are below.

I would do a FULL tune up (preferably yourself to ensure everything is done and done properly).
After that, if you don't have a competent tuner in your area or don't have money for a dyno tune, send your comp off to a tuner from the boards, Frost does some great work.

How is your tranny? Does it slip/hit limiter/etc?

Also, what are other ls1s in your are running? Whether stock or similar mods to yours.

Plugs and wires arent that old. Seafoamed the engine and changed the oil a week before the dyno run. I also did get a mail order from a sponsor and I feel he did a pretty good job. Tranny shifts hard and doesnt hit the limiter.

Who is the mail order from?

Have you noticed anything (even something very small) out of the ordinary?

Don't forget fuel filter as well.
