402 L92 setup, 99 Formula
99 Formula
TSP 402, PRC L92 heads (unmilled for roughly 10.8:1), PRC dual springs
Comp custom grind that is wayyy off for this setup (244/256 on a 114)
Stock L76 intake
Unported PTM 92mm throttle body
Truck 85mm MAF, FTP 104mm lid
ASP UDP
Stock water pump with stock thermostat and all other accessories
1 7/8" TSP headers, true duals w/ dynomax 18" bullets
T56, 9" rear with true-trac, 4:10s
295/55/15 MT drag radials

Thanks! I'd be happy if the new cam can make similar peak numbers with some better driveability.
I also thought it was worth noting that with the following mods the car gained +46whp and +37 wtq peak, and in some areas a lot more than that:
Replaced SLP lid with FTP 104mm
Replaced stock MAF with 85mm
Replaced 3" ypipe and hooker catback with TSP true duals
Goes to show how restrictive those items were! Same dyno used, on different days obviously but similar weather conditions.

Good power for that cam. It carries nice up top. Low end torque is suffering though.
The MAF gained 20whp 12wtq, but most of that was only in the upper end. After the duals, it gained an additional +26whp and +26wtq up top and a whole lot more down low. Definitely worthwhile mods.
I agree about the cam and it's characteristics though. It may actually work out well with something other than a composite intake manifold. The low end was much worse (50wtq from 2500-3500) before the duals went on.

Good #'s fella, My car made almost the same exact #'s. If your not happy with bottomend torque, I would almost say shrink the cam a little. I'm running an MS3 on a 114 and made about the same #'s with PRC 2.5 5.3s. Made a crap load of down low torque because of it, probably because I am in the 11.?-1 CR too which helps greatly. Damn I wish I was back in DE with my 99. Post up up how she does at Cecil. I am very curious what she'll run, never had a chance for a good run with mine.

It would be nice to get both of them down at cecil this year. Ocean city will be fun for sure.
