Default Trickflow top end LS1 kit

Hey guys I was trying to do some research on the Trickflow top end LS1 kit. Summit racing sells this kit and I was curious to see if anyone out there has bought this? There are 3 different packages and far as I can see the cam specs are the only difference. I tried to do a search but couldnt really find this exact kit. If theres anyone out there running this, I would appreciate your input!

Not many people around here run that kit bc nobody seems to like the cam specs. Lots of people run the heads. They come in either as cast or CNC'd.

Yeah thats what I have come to notice. They seem like great heads though, everyone thats running them is producing some great numbers.

Thoose heads are one of the best money can by for the LS1. Most people get a custom cam or a shelf cam from a vendor to make a great head and cam package

I plan on going with a custom cam with eps lobes and getting them matched up with some ported trickflows!

You could check with Vengeance. They sell a combo which includes the TFS heads, as cast or CNC'd version, your choice of Vengeance cam, and all the fixings like gaskets, pushrods, etc. They were just running a sale where you could get the 220 as cast heads with all the above for $2,500. One hell of a deal.

I got my products at vengeance. Ron took good care of me when buying my heads. You are making a smart choice buying a set of heads like trickflow. you can never go wrong with trickflow or afr heads.

Purchasing AFR's was a big mistake! Mamo punched me in the face and stole my girlfriend! No but in all seriousness both heads will give you good results, I have Gen 1 AFR's and they made my 400 SBC bad-*** back in the day. TFS's will cost you more as I believe you must run a roller rocker with those heads, where as you can get away with stock with the AFR's. Just something to consider. Good luck.
