KC, im working off my cell phone so ihave to keep flipping back to see the posts. The car has a FT ram air with their larg air box. I want to say it has the 85mm maf no screen. K&N filter. Im thinking im getting the air in maybe its not getting out? The cam is a custom grind specific to this set up. Person that specked the cam said it wasn't considered a big cam for this application.

Looks like your setup stopped making power at @6400 or so. Then it looks like it flatlined from 6400 to 7500.

Do you know what lobes the cam is on?

Ramair, what cam would you suggest? Please don't take that the wrong way, I appreciate the responses from everyone, but two of the so called gurus on this site gave me cam specs (actually I had to pay them) for this build and they were both very similar grinds.

It was jmdgto that said it was too big. I guess I should quote the post that I commented on next time.

That is way low especially if the converter was locked. For a 402 I would have went with a bigger cam. Something doesn't add up with the combo cause a h/c 402 should easily put down over 500rwhp auto or not.

85mm MAF/Lid should be letting it breath, I know the stock maf on mine is chokeing it out to 9KPa up top.

Your 1-7/8 Kooks are the right header/ORY.

Do you have a different Tuner near by? ... doesn't say your State in your sig.

The cam isn't "too big"... IMHO it's too big for the heads. If you take a look through the 408 dyno thread all 13 pages of it, the one thing that jumps out at you is the heads. Guys switch from cnc 5.3 heads left over from thier LS1 to 235cc and make bigger numbers with the same cam, you see it alot. Virginia speed has a 500+ hp car with a dink/dinky 22x/22x cam... it's got some huge heads though and a tuner that's experianced.

Your dyno numbers compared to your track numbers are comparitive to mine before I adjusted suspension and IC, my track numbers were 11.teen, 11.oh's.

We maybe hung up on dyno numbers and not what the car is actually doing... the car is performing pretty dam well.

Why is your dyno sheet uncorrected? Which way would your results go if corrected?

My 402 made 513/462 with ported TFS 215 heads and a FMS 246/253 cam. I highly doubt the heads are the problem.

We dynoed a car not too long ago that had a Magnaflow catback. He opened the cutout and picked up 51rwhp. You may need less backpressure for your combo.
