I searched but everthing but 5.3 stuff came up

Any one have dynos for 5.3s. I might be getting a car with a 5.3 has 243 heads with it and a 232/234 112 cam. this is going in a 2900 lb car with driver, only 3000 stall. 3.55 gears.

 

The motor should b around 375 @ the crank w/ the heads & cam !

 

that thing should be close to 400, if not over//

theres trucks putting those numbers at the rwhp .
that thing is half the weight of a truck.

 

5.3, shaved stock 243 heads, 224/228 112+2, fast 90, 3200 stall and a 8.8 made 352 at the tires on a 80ish degree day. car was really peppy

 

We had one with hand ported 799s and our 227 5.3l cam that made 387 to the tires. This was with a stock truck intake and TB.

 

hellbents10 do you sell that cam and how much is it? can you give some specs on it? do you have to flycut pistons?

 

Sounds good. He sold the heads and cam, so it will just be stock with victor jr carb, i have been looking at a 226/230 cam. not sure how much converter to get, probably have 150-200 shot of nitrous on it also. there cheap if they blow up lol.
