C5 Z06 Dyno - video and #s inside!
Well, I was finally able to get on the rollers to see what gains a custom cam, full exhaust and e85 can do. Prior to this I only had a Vararam and axle back on it and put down average numbers (360whp/355wtq). I dyno'd 2 days ago at the same place and was very happy with my results:
422whp/405wtq
Mods are as follows:
- Custom grind cam - 238/240 - .600" / .600" - 112 LSA + 2
- LG Super Pro longtubes and X-pipe
- GHL Bullets
- Vararam
- e85 with 42lb. green tops
I haven't been emailed the dyno graph quite yet but I'll do an overlay from my stock run to see where the big gains are as I know my midrange really picked up.
I took this video from my phone, she certainly doesn't lack in the noise department:

Congrats! Very nice looking car. I had ported LS6s (old MTI) on my heads/cam car w/ a LG cam (seems similar to yours) and a fast intake and it did just 441 rwhp. With your car being so light, I'm sure it's a pretty fast car.

Thank you, sir. I'm still debating how much farther I want to go. H/I is the obvious route here but it'll cost me $3k+ to gain what, 30-40hp? Not sure that's worth it, and clutch will need to be replaced as well. I'll keep enjoying it for now though!

Well, I FINALLY got my damn dyno graph. Here she is:
Of course I'm happy with the peak #'s compared to my stock dyno (360whp/355wtq), but I was more concerned with WHERE I picked up the power, so I went ahead and graphed the comparison. To me, it's MUCH more interesting:
All in all, I picked up a good 15-60whp and 20-50wtq. within the powerband and the meat of the power is right where I wanted it with the cam.

Thanks!
You really can't go wrong with either. I can't afford one and I still haven't warmed up to the new styling. You could always do the best of both - LS7 in a C5Z!
Couldn't agree more - destroys the bodyline and becomes the focal point of the car. To each their own, but it's hideous to me.
