Good read here as when funds are right I want to build a 408 or bigger motor...

Just seems like so many options Im almost thinking all the heads are good, its just the minute details

If the PRC heads are offered w/lighter valves, then go for it.

Well I ordered the ls3 heads with the hollow stem valves. I believe they were around 93 grams? So not bad really for the size and being stainless

Just found this thread and see that you already made your choice. PRC stuff
is real nice and should make excellant power. I wonder how many people know
of this particular intake valve's existence for similar project parameters......

The vapves in these heads are even larger, 1.710 I believe but I found someone saying about 94 grams

I'm kinda late to the party but for anyone considering the PRC 237 heads I have been running them for the last couple years with no complaints. My last setup was 408 with custom kytp turbo kit @15psi. Currently tearing the turbo off to go f1c procharger. My car is a full weight street car (4000lbs) that never sees the track.

I run the 237s on mine. Stock cube LS3 someone posted a vid of it earlier in the thread. I would'nt worry to much about the heavier valves. I had pat g spec me a cam and he specd me special lobes (huc) for the heavier valves and it works great. The car shifts at 7000 to 7100 and is still making power. These heads are really a great buy for the value and performance
